Welcome to one of the finest music recording studios in the north of England. Built in the mid 1980’s and refit in 2007.
Axis Recording Studio is renowned for its high quality recordings.
At Axis we handle everything from tracking, mixing and mastering to full production. The studio boasts a 1,000 square foot main recording room specifically designed for live and acoustic recording. The room is a main attraction as it has isolation control with flexible rooms within rooms, perfect for musicians wanting to play together. (max 40 people) The next feature of the studio is a superb, large and comfortable control room. And last but far from least is our blend of classic, valve, ‘class A’ analogue and digital technology that brings the best of analogue and digital together for astounding recording results.
The Levellers, The Longpigs, The Pretenders, Ian Brown, Lulu, Take That, Pulp, Finley Quaye, Embrace, and even Dannii Minogue are just some of those who’ve created good things here. For more recent clients see the box on the right.
